How to Find Your NOWT, ATT, and HMP Tokens in Metamask
You might have noticed that after purchasing your Aloha NowTee’s (NOWT), or receiving one from a friend, that the NOWT tokens do not automatically show up within your Metamask wallet.
FEAR NOT, your tokens ARE there – you just need to find them! This may seem like an overcomplicated and scary process, however it’s actually relatively straightforward and we are here to guide you through it.
The same goes for your Aloha Teyuna Trust (ATT) and Hemp Heart (HMP) tokens. The reason these tokens don’t appear in your wallet straight away is because they are not publicly traded tokens circulating the Ethereum network en masse… yet. So, in order for them to reach the surface, we first have to do a little digging! (This is the same for any custom token created by a project or community). But just to be clear, they are actually there, even though you can’t see them straight away.
Ok, here’s how you find them.
1). Open up your Metamask wallet (browser extension) – HINT – look for the orange fox in the top right of your internet browser’s navigation bar
2). Log In / Enter your Password (if you haven’t already)
3). Click on the Menu Icon in the Top Left of your Wallet
4). At the bottom of the Menu Bar, under “Don’t See Your Tokens?”, click “Add Tokens”
5). Now click the “Custom Token” tab
6). Under “Token Contract Address” enter the following…
- For NOWT Tokens, enter: 0xE6080A0a323Ee7412F8836C5cbcaA53595Dc2E32
- For ATT Tokens, enter: 0x24e686FBD08e97B484e9e8B9573Db391D73fD40e
- For HMP Tokens, enter: 0x858c13DFB3a3F407aa221b5b403639936C02E0B2
7). The “Token Symbol” should automatically input “NOWT”, “ATT“, or “HMP“. If not, do this manually by typing it in
8). The same should happen for “Decimals of Precision“. If not, manually enter “0” for NOWT, or “18” for ATT & HMP
9). Click the “Next” button
10). You should now see a preview screen showing your NOWT tokens, click the “Add Tokens” button
Congrats! You should now be able to see your NOWT, ATT, and HMP tokens within your Metamask wallet! You can view them by clicking on the Menu Icon, they should be sitting right below your Ether (ETH)!
How to Send NowTee’s (NOWT) using MEW
Congrats! You should now be able to see your NOWT tokens within your Metamask wallet! You can view them by clicking on the Menu Icon, they should be sitting right below your Ether (ETH)!
We recommend for the time being that you safely store these tokens within your web3 wallet (Metamask). This is because we will soon be sending a reputation token (ATT) to each NOWT address, allowing our early founders to take part in the governance of the Aloha Teyuna Trust, a community DAO evolving around our Genesis Pod. This is done by interacting with the Aragon DAO interface (aloha.aragonid.eth) using your Metamask wallet, so it makes sense to hold your tokens at the same address you will use to interact with the Aloha DAO.
However, the tokens are yours and yours alone, so if you would like to transfer ownership of your NOWT token to someone else, or perhaps simply store it within another one of your ethereum compatible wallets, here’s how you can go about doing it.
1). Go to MyEtherWallet.com
2). Click “Access My Wallet”
3). Access your wallet using the “Browser Extension” option (this will connect your Metamask wallet)
4). Accept T&Cs to connect MEW and Metamask
You are now logged in to your Metamask wallet.
5). Within your Dashboard, find the “NFT Manager” (Under “Actions”)
6). Click “Add Custom NFT”
7). Under ‘Token Contract Address’, enter: 0xE6080A0a323Ee7412F8836C5cbcaA53595Dc2E32
8). Under “NFT Name”, write: “NOWT”. Click “Save”
9). Click on the NOWT token you want to send (eg. #103)
10). Enter the Receiver’s Address (eg. 0x…) *make sure this is an Ethereum address*
11). Click “Send” and Confirm the transaction in your Metamask wallet
